Samsung galaxy s4 SGH-I337 4.4.2 to 5.0.1 lollipop 


Pre-Requirements(only boring part)
  1. First and most important thing is to have backup of all your data. We highly recommend all our readers to backup all their important data before proceeding with tutorial.
  2. Make sure you have properly installed your phone USB drivers on your computer.
  3. Enable the USB Debugging Mode from Settings –> Developer Options.
  4. Last but not least, make sure the battery is fully charged before you proceed to root your AT&T Galaxy S4 SGH-I337.

follow the steps one by one you won't dis-pointed

  1. make sure you're using SGH-I337. about > baseband version NC1 -- KitKat 4.4.2 then only follow this steps otherwise GO TO 6..

  3. go to NC1 -- KitKat 4.4.2 >> STEP 1 - Odin to Stock
  4. download the necessury contents and follow the steps of ODIN 3.09.
  5. after succesfully done this process >>> check again the about > baseband version
  6. Make sure your AT&T Galaxy S4 is 100% stock NJ4 (Android 4.4.4 KitKat) firmware.
  7. Now download the OC3 (Lollipop) OTA package: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934552137
  8. Extract the downloaded Zip file to get the .cfg file.
  9. Copy the .cfg file to the external SD card of your Galaxy S4.
  10. Now open file manager on your device, tap and hold the .cfg file and rename the .cfg extension to .zip.
  11. Enable USB Debugging on your phone as precaution.
  12. Now turn off your device and reboot into the stock recovery. To do so, hold the Volume Up+Home+Power keys together while the device is switched off. As soon as you see the Samsung logo, release the Power key and keep the other two keys pressed until you see the recovery menu.
  13. Using the volume keys, scroll to apply update from external storage option and select it by pressing the Power key.
  14. Navigate to the OTA update Zip package and select it.
  15. Confirm installation when prompted.

Please note that it might take from 5 to 10 minutes on the first boot and so  you need to be patient. When your AT&T Galaxy S4 boots up, it’ll have Android 5.0.1 Lollipop running on it.

  6. THANK YOU!!! Found a brand new S4 phone on Ebay, but stuck in KitKat. With your help, and next to NO help from supposedly knowledgeable seller, got it to Lollipop. Now all my normal apps work. Thanks again.
